Discovering artefacts is only one of the jobs an archaeologist can do – cataloguing, conserving and classifying objects within an archaeological collection is also important work.

Tune in every day at 2.00pm to go behind the scenes of YAT’s artefact collection and join one of the team to interpret some fascinating artefacts. Follow-on activities can be found in our downloadable Activities for Schools workbook or you can download the individual activity sheets that go with each livestream as you go.
You’ll get a sneak preview of each day’s artefacts on our social media channels, so join the conversation there with your ideas about what it could be, before tuning in at 2pm to hear from our team. And if you miss one of our live sessions, don’t worry – a recording will be available shortly afterwards.
