Wonders of the Wolds
Wonders of the Wolds is a digital event marking the launch of a new research strategy for the Yorkshire Wolds.
This exciting event, in collaboration with Historic England, will celebrate the landscape, history and archaeology of the Wolds via expert analysis and commentary. Find out what makes this place important to those who visit, work and live here, and learn how this has shaped a research strategy for the region.

Dr Peter Halkon of the University of Hull introduces the geology and archaeology of the Yorkshire Wolds using a number of key sites, including a stunning Iron Age ‘shrine’ monument excavated in 2021.
